Our popular FIVE week summer program is held Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 1pm. The camp is SUNSHINE ONLY! The camp provides a fun, educational and safe (physically and mentally) place where each camper feels special. We aim to have every facet of camp life contribute positively to our campers learning experience. Self-confidence and personal integrity are fostered through group activities. The activities of North Caldwell´s Summer Fun program are carefully designed to meet the needs of each individual age group. Although the activities are very similar for all ages, they will vary greatly in intensity, objectives and expectations. Camp is for children entering Kindergarten through 7th grade.
The camp is broken down into two groups. Upper Camp is for grades 3rd through 7th and they are run out of Gould School. Lower Camp is for kindergarten through 2nd graders and they run out of Liberty Pavilion/Liberty Field. Each camp will have approximately four instructors each (depending on enrollment) who will each have a specific specialty that they are responsible for. These instructors are all NJ certified teachers and will lead all groups in different activities. Summer Fun also employs high school aged and college aged boys and girls who serve as the camp counselors. Counselors must be entering 10th grade and above to be eligible. Lastly, Summer Fun also has Counselors in Training (CIT), which are 8th and 9th graders that assist the counselors in organizing individual groups and assists the instructors in running daily activities. The CIT position is an UNPAID position.
Each camp will have its own calendar with special events, pool days, field trips and theme days. These special events, pool days, field trips and theme days help bring the campers experience to life!
